We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with "No Signature Required." The base is extremely heavy but that's what you want in order to keep it from toppling over. I have hung about 8 coats on there plus tote bags and scarves. You will need a wide entryway if you plan to use it near the door as it holds so much stuff it can get pretty wide. Overall highly satisfied!

Although the color looks chrome or stainless steel in the picture, it actually is NOT! The "champagne" color is a metallic beigey color.
