I was very surprised by the high quality, heftiness and precision... good quality hardware too. Hinge detail and method very nice, not done justice by foto. Even the back was nicely finished with some overhang of top in back, not just chopped off flush like many mfrs do. \n\nMine had one virtually imperceptible flaw however (thus 4 stars instead of 5) - the top in certain light faintly revealed planer mark (caused by pause in movement - not a gouge) where sanding had restored perfect smoothness, but had not been quite sufficient to restore uniform and uninterrupted grain pattern, which is visible due to stain finish rather than solid laquer finish.\n\nActually (looks-wise) I would probably have preferred a lacquer finish on top, except it IS harder to repair if nicked etc.
