Steinar Hindenes has received a number of prizes, including two design awards together with Dave Vikøren in Circus Design: The International Design Award 2001 for the Webster chair, as well as the 2003 Award for Design Excellence from the Norwegian Design Council for the Burell chair. Frode Myhr received an Honorable Mention in the Young Talent Award 2000 for the Plural furniture collection that was developed in collaboration with other designers in Norway Says. The new Hjellegjerde® 401 Breen and Hjellegjerde® 410 Tinde, created by Norwegian designers Steinar Hindenes and Frode Myhr, will do a little of both. “Steinar Hindenes and Frode Myhr have a common goal: To create straightforward products with an austere look – and have fun along the way.”

The Design

With a unique form created by award winning Norwegian designers, the Breen chair is a great piece with a multitude of placement possibilities. Going toward an austere look, these designers generated nothing but an affluent experience. Simple lines, including the cushion stitching detail and bowl shape bottom cushion, this chair is sleek and modern. Compared with aniline, this leather is more resistant to dirt and other environmental factors

Wipe off dust and soluble marks as soon as possible with a clean, soft, white cloth , soaked in luke warm water and well wrung out

Vacuum clean often, using a nozzle with a soft brush

Dsigned by Hjellegjerde:

It all began in the cellar premises of the Hjellegjerde family in the fjord community of Sykkylven in Møre & Romsdal as long ago as 1941. The brothers Otto and Mindor Hjellegjerde started up the first production of furniture.
As the years went by that cellar had to be continually extended to make more room for production and with family joining the regime, there stood great commitment and desire to further develop their family run company. All their hard work and effort paid off, as today, Hjellegjerde has become Norway’s largest furnishing groups and a significant player in the development of the Norwegian furniture industry.

After undergoing changes to emphasize the quality and comfort of their Norwegian design, Hjellegjerde has finally been built to showcase the dedication and determination to showcase the pride and design of the furniture it has produced since 1941.

Truck Freight Additional Information:

This product is too heavy/large to ship via the small package delivery services (e.g. UPS, FedEx) so it will be sent to you via truck freight. Truck freight is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that you will be responsible for carrying the product from the back of the truck into your house (or wherever it's going).

The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you MUST inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write "PRODUCT DAMAGED" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.

If you are ordering a very large item, please keep in mind that you may need a couple of people to help unload it. Alternatively, most truck freight companies offer additional services to help you move items from the truck into your house. Once we email you the tracking information you can contact the shipper directly to inquire about additional services. You would be responsible for directly paying the truck freight carrier for any additional services.
