The Franklin is an old-fashioned bed that would have appealed to the Colonists. Its lines are simple and elegant. The posts are classic — nicely proportioned with vintage ball finials on the tops. The headboard has a slight sway to its back — as if the sun was just setting far away on the horizon. Spindles have spun castings in the middle to give them added punch. The frame is fastened to the posts with circular bulbs at each corner. This is a bed for those who value simplicity, old-world traditions and sleep.
The Franklin bed is finished in Lustre Brass, a delightfully slick coating that reflects well in any bedroom. Imbued with old-fashioned charm, the Lustre Brass captures sunlight, moonlight and lamplight beautifully on its gleaming surface. Best of all, the finish is not only visually appealing, it's also virtually maintenance-free.
