This product is attractive and useful. I'm a little OCD, so I noticed that some of the joints don't line up perfectly, though you can't really tell once it is in use. The springs can be hard to install...you need A LOT of muscle power! Despite these two minor details, this is a great piece of furniture!

there are scratches and small dents all over the boards (I assume because of bad factory handling). spring holders are useless and impossible to install: long leg is too short and hits a base F. some dowel holes are damaged (during manufacture).\nso you should be DIY guy to assembly.\nI browsed tenth of sites. all offers same product (and I assume from the same manufacturer), but prices vary. so, we selected this web site with the lowest price.

We had an empty space in the design of our house that nothing really seemed to fit. This Hall Tree/storage bench was an attractive and useful choice. It is easier to hang a jacket here than get out a hanger and put it in the closet each time. Looks nice!

We use it as a place to put our shoes on in our entry way. For that it does the job well. The one issue with it is that when you open the storage compartment, the piece of wood the hinge is attached to twists as it doesn't have enough reinforcement to deal with the spring tension. Speaking of the springs, they were the worst part of the whole assembly. Ours also came with some dings in the wood in places that showed under the veneer. Otherwise the product is quite good, the wood seems very dense and seems like it is good quality that can only be beaten by real hardwood.
