I'm a little torn on my review. The desk is beautiful, and the men who delivered and put it together were very courteous, and careful about not scratching my floor or the desk. I was very careful to examine the desk before they left and it looked great.
That evening, I pushed my leather office chair under the desk and when I pulled the chair out, I discovered that the arm of the leather chair was scratched. It turns out that something weird was going on UNDER the desk. There were some weird holes in the wood (as though there were a mistake in how it's put together), and there was a nail or screw sticking out of the bottom (underside) of the desk. It was very sharp. I took a hammer and tapped the tip so that it wouldn't stick out so much, and put a little tape on it so that it would do no more damage to the chair.
I would still recommend this desk, but I would caution everyone to look UNDER the desk before you let the delivery guys leave your house. Other than this little inconvenience, I love the desk and have spent many happy hours enjoying it.
