I was not sure when I first opened the box whether or not I would like the shutters, but after using it for a month, I find it a nice feature. You can close off the light coming in or open them up and allow light. The color was bit deeper red than I expected, but is is working out fine. Overall I am happy because it serves the purpose of dividing my living room and dining room in a pretty way.
