Riverside has been growing with America for more than half a century now. Their founder, Herman Udouj, opened the doors to his first factory in 1946, and along with 12 employees who began making handcrafted furniture for the post World War II baby boom era.
Since then, Riverside has been a name that three generations of Americans have come to rely on. Herman said it best more than 60 years ago. "We want the Riverside name to be trusted for quality products that are an affordable value. It's just that simple."

I owned this chair for about 3 months. It is built very poorly. The chair wobbled, one caster wheel broke in half, the height adjustment would not stay where set, but would gradually sick down after a few hours. The cushion pad broke down very quickly and would almost flatten out when sitting on it(I'm 6'2" 200 lbs.). One of the casters would not screw all the way into the base, so the chair did not sit level. I'm not sure if the installers cross threaded this or if the threads came this way from the factory. I ended up throwing the chair in the dumpster. I replaced it with the DMi Midlands Mission Swivel Arm Chair. The DMi chair is easily twice the quality of the Riverside chair, it is very nicely constructed, very solid and comfortable. Also the DMi chair is actually stained wood, not a veneer like the Riverside which chipped very easily.
