The bench was beautiful online, and even more beautiful in my home. I am using the storage for a new digital camera, shoes, and blankets. The color is perfect, and I love the slow closing lids. I only wish I could change it around at times with decorative cushions, but wouldn't know where to find them.

I use it to store shoes in our little apartment. I was really happy to find that it includes hinge springs that control the movement of the bench top pieces-- they slide well and stop exactly where you put them. No crashing! Also, it took me about 1 hour to assemble with no sweat. It is easy to put together. I wish the height of the bench was a few inches taller, but it's a very good piece of furniture.

This is truly a great item. I have chosen to use it for a different purpose than most; it's a replacement for my foot board. It goes well there, looks great, is good storage for extra bedding and is good for a dressing aid.

This is a great product for children! The safety hinges prevent the lids from coming down on small fingers and it is the perfect height for toddlers on up. The finish is lovely, there is plenty of storage, and one could use this in virtually any room in the house. The base is not quite as sturdy as the rest of the bench but the overall product is excellent and I am very pleased.

We were very pleased with the quality of the bench, I put it together in about 30 minutes, and it seems sturdy enough. One added extra which wasn't mentioned in the online description, is that the hinges have a slow closing mechanism, so the top won't slam shut on our 18 month old's fingers. I had been prepared to buy foam stoppers or something but didn't need to. It looks great, like a really nice quality piece of furniture. My husband didn't even know it arrived as flat pack until he saw the box in the garage!

Wife needed me to build a seat with storage ability to fit under the kitchen table to house appliances such as her electric beaters, meat slicer, etc. It fits perfectly between the table legs (I checked the length before ordering), is cheaper than the wood I would have purchased to build one, and saved me precious time and energy.

No pad provided but you can buy two or three regular chair cushions and they fit - probably easier to move a small cushion to get to storage

The amount of space inside is wonderful! I have 3 boys who have cleats, shoes, flip flops, boots, etc. and it all fits inside this bench. I love the split top. My kids can sit on one side and open the other! All my friends ask me where I got it and two are actually going to buy one!

This is perfect for an entryway - I bought 4 small canvas baskets at [...] that fit perfectly inside. I can put winter hats, gloves, scarves, baseball caps, etc inside. The bench tops stay open with a safety latch so there is no worry that the tops will slam down on little fingers. I would highly recommend this - it's also a perfect height for kids to sit on and put on their shoes!

One of the pre-assembled sides in incorrect (wrong side out) and it can't be changed. Did not want to send it back; we will just live with it.

Overall this is a nice product. Looks expensive but was cost efficient. Serves its purpose in our house for taking off shoes and boots. Nice storage area for books and blankets.

This bench was just the size I was looking for. It went together easily and well, (I assembled it by myself), and is much more solid than one would expect. The construction is almost all solid wood, holes are all pre-drilled, all hardware provided. The finish is also excellent. All who have seen it have commented on how nice it is.

Love this bench. Very sturdy and great looking in my front hall. The deep wells are great at my front door for collecting shoes and boots! I put rug in the bottom to collect any slight shoe drippings and now my front entrance if finally shoe free!

This is a good quality bench that arrived quickly. They were having a special when I ordered so, I didn't have to pay any shipping or taxes. The site originally said that this bench was backordered and wouldn't arrive until late february. But then within a week of ordering, I got an email saying it had shipped and then a day or two later it arrived at our house. It smelled of fresh stain and we were surprised that it was mostly all real wood. It's sturdy and came together relatively easily. I would reccomend using a power drill when putting it together, though.
Also, it is smaller in person than it looks in the picture. I was worried it would be too big for where I wanted to put it, but I measured, and from those measurements I knew it would be fine, and it is. It fits perfectly. Just remember to measure your space carefully and to trust those measurements.
I would reccomend this bench to anybody.

Am very impressed with bench. Although there were a couple of nicks in the finish, overall very happy with it. The ease of putting the product together was very suprising. Looks good in the house and wife loves it. Storage is what we were loooking for and was not disappointed in what we received.
I bought this for the entryway to my apartment. It arrived safely, assembly was remarkably easy and it looks fantastic overall. I was surprised how much of it was real wood and how rich the finish looked. It feels sturdy to sit and stand on, and it can hold a lot of coats and shoes. Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase.
