Good design, excellent bargin for a sturdy well designed piece of furniture. One of the slats on a chair was loose upon arrival but was easily fixed.

Wish I knew size of tble when in folded up position -- not enough surface to use as a table OR desk, plus it sticks out on both sides of my hallway and I'm always bumping into it.
Haven't used it open full sized, but very much appreciate flexibiiltiy to do so, and think 'hidden' chairs are brilliant. Will ulse it full sized during next holiday, and will probably be ecstatic I could fit in sos many guests in this tiny apartment. It's just that I hve to leave it half open all the time to use it as a desk OR table, and because of that, I'm disappointed. Otherwise, Ithink it's brilliant,
and very attractive. AND, very good for the price.
Product was for a small kitchen area. Size was appropriate, but it lacked the stability of another set I own, yet the cost was the same.

It is exactly what I have wanted since I was a newlywed I love the color choices [...]. I love the storage and the fact that it is on wheels to accommodate changing layouts.

We use this for daily dining and entertaining in a small living/dining space. The gateleg design allows you to use this in partial or full fold out modes. The chair stowage is the breakthrough, and the chair design/materials combination is brilliant: sturdy, but easily folded.
As long as one is handy with a few tools... one might be happy with this table. I had to drill holes a bit deeper for screws that hold piano hinges. Some other holes were pre-drilled carelessly (not centered). Consequently, edges are chipped and I cannot fix that. Overpriced for the quality of work.
Not a very sturdy construction as described in other consumers comments. Piano hinge pre-drilled holes for screws are not deep enough so, I will have to re-drill. Chips here and there in the wood. Too heavy and hard to dismantle to ship back so, I will live with it. Not impressed.

good quality for a great price! we wanted a temporary dining room table solution that would not cost a lot. we are currently in an apartment and will be moving into a house next year.
WYSIWYG. A solid, well made table, easy to use, flexible, and ideal for small spaces. The only caution, and in so saying note that I would buy this product again even with this caution, is that there is a slight tendency of the chairs to tip forward if the sitter's weight is near the front of the chair, as might be the case with children, whose legs might not be long enough to touch the ground to compensate for a forward tilt of the chair, resulting in a fall. Our 3 year old is big enough to use the chair without a booster seat, but did fall a couple of times (thankfully, without disastrous consequence). He now seems to have mastered this slight idiosyncracy. Again, as such, we would buy again, and would certainly buy from [...]
It assembled fairly easily. The shellack was unevenly applied and smelled bad for the first week or two. The chairs are pretty comfortable for folders. The table allows me to have a fold away dining nook in a ridiculously small space. It really does seat 4 comfortably. It's actually too big for a dinner for two when fully extended. Folding it up wrong jeapordizes the piano hinge. It is fairly heavy but the handle on one end and wheels on the other make it easy to roll around on a wood floor.
Perfect table for those who on occasion need to have a dinner table. Storing the table is easy and it is a nice piece of furniture. The table size is very comfortable for 4 people.
I wish I would have bought mine sooner.
When we renovated our small enclosed back porch we were looking for a kitchen table set so we could eat on the porch during the nice weather. We looked at many different kinds of sets but most of them were too large and left us little room for anything else. The fact that this set can be folded up with the chairs inside of it made it the perfect fit for us. We leave 2 chairs out and 2 folded away and it leaves us enough room for another type of chair to watch TV in. Although it is compacted when folded up, it has more than enough room for 4 - 6 adults to eat at it. It was also fairly easy to put together and it very sturdy. It looks great and for us it was the Perfect Fit. In a few years when we sell our house and move, it will be one of the few items of funiture that we'll bring with us.
Good value for the money. Great space saver, especially in a NYC apartment. The only flaw is the rubber pieces that are used to keep the table legs connected to the top of the table - kind of hard to explain - but they tend to break easily. not a big deal, though.

I couldn't be more please with this purchase. It was much more than I hoped for. Absolutely beautiful in appearance, the chairs are extremely strong & would not be a problem with someone who has excessive weight. The table is as sturdy as my dining room set which surprised me. The drop leaves are attached via a piano type hinge which is what makes the table so solid. It can easily fit 8 people with no crowding. The finish looks & feels & weighs like it is solid oak. The whole set is suppose to weigh 80 pounds but my husband swears it must weigh at least 100 pounds. When not in use, it looks like a beautiful side board.
