THE LAMP IS USED IN THE LIVING ROOM, FOR READING, VISITING, AND WATCHING TV. IT REALLY LIGHTS UP THE ROOM WITHOUT BEING HARSH.
I've had previous types of floor lamps which used a halogen lamp that burned out the torchiere diffuser when the lamp was left on in the dim positon for a period of time. So far the diffuser seems to be working OK. I hope it remains OK for a long time.
Very satisfied with my light.. I'd been looking for a high wattage halogen pole lamp since my old one finally stopped working some 5 months ago..I only wish it was 500 watt instead of 300! Overall I love the style, color and brightness!
