We are very happy with this purchase. I was expecting to have problems with the rear support leg as others have mentioned but did not experience anything bad. The leg seems more than adequate. Perhaps it has been improved.

I really love the aethetics of this product. It is really the look I was going for and goes great in our living room. My husband assembled it pretty easily- the instructions were good with the parts labeled appropriately. We did reinforce the back leg as other reviewers recommended (thanx to those of you that made the suggestion). We also love the height of the cabinet, as it is a little higher than what we used previously.
The only ploblem that we have- and I guess it is a big one. We us a dish and the with the component inside, we have to leave the door open for our remotes to work. This results in the cabinet door being open almost all of the time. If you use standard cable, this shouldn't be an issue.
Regardless, I am still happy with the purchase and we are getting lots of compliments.

PROS: I was thrilled to find a corner tv stand with a design that I liked.[...]. The online customer review info was invaluable...especially the part about the flimsy back leg on this stand. [...]. CONS: I found the assembly to be a two person job. I have assembled 2 kids'rooms of furniture, as well as a basement full of office furniture, so I've had some experience in this area. The instructions were a bit vague, the pieces were not well marked and I only made it to STEP 2 before I reached an impass. I could not hold the pieces AND secure them together. The cam locks seemed flimsy, and took some patience. Even when my husband was able to lend a hand, it was not a smooth process. After having read the reviews about the back leg, we reinforced it with a couple of L braces without hesitation. It was excellent advice - HEED IT!In the end, we were victorious and the finished product was well wotrh the effort. This stand is a good value, and quite handsome and sturdy (with the exception of the back leg).I would most definately reccommend this unit,[@]

Once assembled, this is very good quality for the price [...]. I did find it a challenge to assemble, so I would allow plenty of time and patience for that. The information about the rear leg posted here was very useful and I think if you're very careful moving this the rear leg should hold up - just never push it, always lift it.

The stand is a beautiful piece--goes great under my new television. I read all of the other reviews and just made sure to fully pick up the stand before moving it. The leg was fine. If that's your only concern, just make sure not to drag it across the floor.

I do like this cabinet, but I also beefed up the attachment of the back center leg with a lag bolt as described in previous reviews. It is the only problem with the cabinet. It looks great and does the job.

Read all the other reviews before buying this unit. The unit itself is very attractive. It was a bit of work but not exceedingly difficult to assemble. And I'm not terribly handy. The only noteworthy negative I will reinforce from earlier reviews is that the back leg on this unit is very poorly designed. Even forewarned, and even being very careful, within a minute of trying to move the newly assembled table the back leg bent right off. Plan on using other wood, bricks, or old books to keep the unit standing once that leg breaks off.

Very cheap styrofoam in 1000's of pieces when I opened the box. Due to static electricity and so many small pieces of foam it took forever to clean up. Life is too short to deal with this!

Good TV stand... but back leg flimsy
By TimVerified Purchaser from Long Beach, CA on 12/10/2007

Attractive Design, Holds All Components, Smooth Edges
Cons:
The back leg stripped out
Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:

The aesthetics of this TV stand are great, but because the back leg stripped out, I had to support it with wood blocks, which makes it very difficult to move (especially with stuff on it). I think that's the biggest detractor from the product being great... I'm worried that it will hold the TV without falling over backwards.

Similar to other reviewer comments, the only concern I had was with the back leg, which did not seem to be properly constructed to fit tight in the back of the unit. Consequently, it would tip when moved. I put supplemental screws in from the top and it worked fine after that. I am pleased with the overall quality of the furniture and it was not hard to assemble.

Able to assemble with ease, just takes time. Must pick up and move whole unit so you don't break canter peg in back off.

Very nice corner unit
By B. Balcom from Monterey, CA on 6/1/2007

This is a well made, nicely finished piece of furniture for the price. I would highly recommend it, with only minor exception. All pieces were well protected when packaged; while the box took a beating in shipment, everything arrived in perfect shape. Assembly instructions were thorough and all of the pieces were well marked - it took about an hour to complete the assembly. Joints were very tight, doors were hung properly and closed tightly and in alignment. It has quite a bit of internal space, and the sliding drawer is a nice touch. My only complaint is with the fifth leg at the rear apex of the stand - it is far too flimsy for the unit. If the stand is not lifted straight up and set straight down (which is difficult to do in a corner), the fifth leg may bend or snap. I removed the self-tapping screw from the leg and used a heavy duty lag bolt to secure the fifth leg from inside of the unit. No problems now. The unit is very stable and holds all of my components.

Love this TV stand
By Mr Jon from San Antonio, TX on 5/19/2007

Arrived quickly, easy to put together. Love the finish and it fits my 42" plasma TV extremely well. Great option to placing a wall mount in a room (if you don't want to mess up the wall or would like to move it around). Space underneath is terrific and this finish is very beautiful. I am very happy with this whole experience!

Great stand!
By Kayoung from Buffalo,Texas on 4/19/2007

This is a great tv stand that is very well-made. If you are worrying about the quality of a stand bought online, don't worry about this one. My husband put it together easily. The directions were great, and it is very durable. We have a new 50-inch flat-screen rear projection tv on it, and it fits perfectly. The best thing about it is the front doors. The are bi-fold, and fold all the way back. We built another stand to go on top of this on which to put the tv, and we put the satellite receiver underneath. We wanted the stand to be a little taller. It is exactly 29 inches. We are very pleased with this unit.

love the look, hated assembly
By aj from wisconsin on 3/14/2007

i love my tv stand. it has the look i wanted for my asian/indian/global looking decor. it blends in nicely with my existing furniture and fits my older heavy tv just fine. i will say though that i did have a very hard time putting the stand together. the pieces kept falling apart until i got it all together, which was not fun for me!! i even had my father help me put it together when i reached my breaking point, and he had a difficult time with it, and he has been building things for years. over all though, i am happy with my purchase. the delivery was fast, and the piece arrived in great condition, even though you could tell the delivery people were not that gentle with the box. i would buy again.

HDTV Corner Stand
By Manuelni from Baton Rouge, LA on 3/13/2007

We are pleased with the price and quality of this product. Our only complaint is the rear support leg is not a good design. It failed upon our attempt to slide the unit into the corner on wood floors. We are currently using wood blocks to support the rear portion of the stand. The rear support should be similar to the side legs which is a more durable and rigid design.

Very Nice

Great piece of furniture, assembly 45 minutes tops. Great storage and like the spring loaded doors. Friends and family have all complimented and asked where I got it. Packaged very well, no dings or scratches. Fast delivery.

Great tv stand!
By Delma from Chicago, IL on 2/9/2007

Great price, good quality wood and easy assembly! For the price, I got a good quality stand, free shipping and no taxes, couldn't have asked for more!

excellent
By Mr. from Bronxville, NY on 1/30/2007

This has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made over the phone. The sales person was great and beat all other prices that I was given by other sellers. The one thing was that the height was not what I was told it would be. The quality is fantastic and I finally got instructions to build the item in plain simple english. The amount of storage is very deceiveing because of it's size, I was able to store alot of dvds, cds and vhs tapes. It was built in 45 minutes including unpacking and discarding the box. I will always buy here first, because I know they WILL beat any other price without a doubt. PS everyone who visits my home loves the TV stand.
